Meet my dear childhood friend, Maria … again. This is not her first time working with me or her debut on the blog. But it is her first boudoir and the last time for a little baby bump. Maria has two beautiful little girls, and she is anxiously awaiting her little boy due this September. She is always letting me “play” with creative photography ideas – even at an early age. This poor girl has gone through hats, and polka-dot photo-opp phases with me time and again.
I can’t tell you how giddy I was for this shoot, especially since I suggested we do boudoir! I know a maternity boudoir session is a hard one to talk my clients into. But lucky me, she was all for it. 🙂 I was in complete heaven just doing my thing and letting Maria do hers. Although I don’t post a lot of boudoir sessions, I do quite a few, and they are probably what I consider my favorite opportunity. In college I did a lot of nudes and I just love how the body photographs. There were so many amazing images from this shoot that it made it really hard for me to nail down my faves. Maria – I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. How beautiful would it be to frame these in your closet or bedroom?
Oh how I’m lovin’ that little bump and Maria’s natural glow. Maria is such a wonderful friend and an amazing mother. These images mean so much to me to illustrate motherhood, a woman’s body and what it’s like to go through pregnancy. There are so many women out there who have the hardest time getting there. What a wonderful way to document such an intimate and special time.
Maria made the visit with me to hang for the weekend without the hubby or kiddos! A little girlie break before the baby comes. We reserved a room at The Four Seasons and the fabulously talented Nicole Brown with NB Artistry did her beautiful make up. I would love it if other sweet moms-to-be would reach out to me for this type of session. I’m anxiously waiting to hear from you!
Enjoy!
