Ellen + Jake | St. Louis Engagement Photographer

Just an hour before this session we were all sitting in the car watching the rain POUR down. Yep, of course we checked the weather before, daily and then down to the minute, in hopes the rain would subside. Mark Twain said it best – “if you don’t like the weather in Missouri, wait 15 minutes and it will change.” Which we did, and it stopped! Ellen + Jake traveled all the way from Omaha for this sweet session.

Ellen + Jake met at MU and the chemistry started during a student ski trip to Colorado. Not long after, Jake made plans to pop the question during a weekend trip to St. Louis for the half marathon. After the marathon, Ellen thought they were on their way to lunch at the Boat House to meet up with friends. She was a little disappointed that he parked so far away – her legs were sore! 😉 Little did she know that Jake had other plans that day! He ended up popping the question right in Forest Park and surprised her with lunch at one of her favorite places, where friends and family were anxiously waiting to congratulate them! LOVE!

The BIG day will be here before we know it! With a ceremony at the New Cathedral, where Ellen’s grandparents were married, and a reception at Union Station. We can’t wait!

Enjoy the photos!
