I continue to feel so lucky being able to work as a photographer – I have had so many great clients this year! When I first met with Hanna and her mom, they talked a little about the look + feel they were wanting. Hanna loved so many things, that it made it hard for her to narrow it down to just one main theme. Kind of like someone I know … ME! Rustic/birdcages/twiggy/cowboy boots …….. that she did know. I always love to ask lots of questions about the theme, because I really like to know what I’m getting into. It’s always nice to be excited and jazzed up about a new wedding! 🙂 Good thing Mom has an artistic background and just so happens to be a graphic designer – she really made some cute and simple hand-made elements that tied the day together. Like the panel backdrops she painted and hung from the ceremony room – one being ‘She Said Yes…,’ the little burlap favor bags that held cookies (a midnight snack), and the confetti the guests got to shower Hanna and Will with as they walked down the aisle as hubby and wife!
Hanna and Will met in college and had been dating for quite some time. 4 years! So when he proposed one December, with her great Grandmother’s ring, made perfectly to fit her finger, it came to no surprise they were meant to be. Ceremony + reception were both held at the City Museum downtown. Love that place! Oh, and I must mention the truly fabulous song played on the guitar by Hanna’s brother during the ceremony – truly special! We did have to work quickly for portraits, as they did not want to see each other before the ceremony. This actually made for some really beautiful images right before the sun (the little sun that we had) decided to set. Will loved making his serious face and Hanna has such a beautiful look. As Tyra would say – Fierce! You two are too cute.
Hope you enjoy some of my favorites! Thank you so much for the wonderful day!
