Jess + Bassey are one-of-a-kind. They have dynamic personalities and their charisma and kindness lures you into their world. They make you feel as if you have been old pals forever. Jess is also one of those brides who allowed me to take the lead. In a whirlwind-of-a-day I really appreciate that. And she photographs so beautifully! The other day I texted Jess that I was getting close to finishing her images and that I was ob-sessed with her jawline and the way they kiss. They could seriously be kissing models.
“Love the one you hold” was a little saying attached to a feather at each place setting at the reception. So true – don’t take any moment for granted – love strong. One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Bassey handed his Mom a flower. I could stare at that image for hours. So special.
We all are well aware of the fall weather patterns in the wonderful month of October, but I love a couple who gives an outdoor ceremony a try anyway! Rain rain rain, that’s all we had a week before the wedding, so just hours before the big day everyone was scrambling to find an indoor space to hold the ceremony, but also stay true to the vision the couple had in mind. As luck would have it or perhaps a blessing from above, the rains held off and this classic romantic bohemian wedding took place outside. That’s how I’m going to describe it. 🙂 For the record, this is seriously one of my favorite weddings ever, just breathtakingly beautiful, and part of it could just be the couple. Thank you, Jess + Bassey.
Enjoy the photos!
