Kelly + Austin | St. Louis Engagement

I just finished the book Big Magic, Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert. (The same fab author who wrote Eat Pray Love.) She talks about how we all share in this big wonderful universe + how creativity finds us. One doesn’t have to have a creative vocation per se, but it’s more about living a life with curiosity and not fear. I guess I needed Liz to tell me this: Most things have already been done – but they have not been done by you. You! That pretty much sums up one of my fears. How can I do something new + different in my industry when pretty much everything has already been done?!

If you follow my blog, you know I’ve been dipping my fingers back into film. In less than 2 weeks I will be in California for a film workshop with Kurt Boomer that I’m beyond excited for! I’m hoping to see what I’m doing right + what I might be doing a little wrong. So while I learn + grow, I plan to continue using my blog as a way to see my improvement, change + development of my film style. Because, in the end, it’s just creativity. (Thanks, Liz!)

So on to this gorgeous pair, Kelly + Austin. Kelly is the sister of one of my past brides! The whole time I’m thinking this is Brittney. They both have these adorable little dimples! Summer was fading and so what better way to say so long summer! than to jump in a pool after a hot session?! I still can’t believe they did it.
