Boy did I have the timing just right on this one! Tomorrow is Lauren’s birthday! Happy early Birthday to a pretty incredible gal!! I’ve had so much fun getting to know her that I’m beyond excited + just so so happy for this amazing couple. Ben is not so bad himself. 😉 I mean hunky, right? (I should probably watch what I say when it comes to describing my grooms, but they are sooooo darn cute!) Hopefully Ryan won’t read this post. 😉
So I gotta back up a little bit. Just when my blog was looking all festive and fall-like I go back to the summertime. We had an incredible line-up this year and it has a lot to do with referrals from our past couples. So we thank everyone who is singing our praises and passing our name along. We really appreciate it! This wedding. Oh my! Another zoo wedding! The folks at the zoo are so great to work with, and I love that we’ve had two great weddings there this year. I’ve mentioned Lauren + Ben’s cute love story in their engagement blog post, so when you see hints of that cute little gold kangaroo, you know why. 🙂
We started at the Moonrise with Lauren and Ben getting ready and then headed to the main entrance for their “first look.” First of all, the images from this wedding were really hard to narrow down or what we call in the industry, “cull.” I have a bazillion images just from the first look – these two enjoyed the moment, couldn’t take their eyes off one another and just kept looking at every.little.detail on one another. I loved that. Initially, when I went to visit the zoo to check out the Lake Side Cafe, I thought, how will they ever pull this off?! Oh my! Why would I ever have a doubt with this couple?! It was absolutely beautiful and it didn’t at all smell like popcorn, ha! 😉 (Lauren was crossing her fingers for that!) I’m pretty impressed with all the talent + love that went into this wedding. Kudos to all the wonderful vendors involved!
Enjoy!
