St. Louis Family Photography

Last year around this time I was photographing their wedding. This year we did family portraits! I love love love them! I mean you can’t get much sweeter + cuter than this, right?! Little Liam lasted for about an hour! It’s true the first 20 minutes are the best moments in every session. After that kiddos start to fade and it’s a matter of keeping them happy! …Or promises of ice cream and loads of candy work too! I think we did pretty good! 🙂

We’ve been pretty lucky this year to have all these amazing families reach out to us! I happened to promise this darling family a fall session last spring! 🙂 Next year, due to the popularity of fall + holiday cards, I will only be taking a handful of sessions … in advance. So! If you are interested in next year, let’s talk now! I will put you on my list – and I’m checking it twice! (Yessss, I’m listening to Christmas music!) 🙂

Finley Lucks | St. Louis Newborn Photography

Well, I’ve certainly been on a roll the last few days with blog posts! I’m going strong so I just can’t stop! I’m really excited to share this sweet new family. Mama Kristin is the owner of the fabulous Fleur de Lis Bridal Boutique. When she asked if I would take a few photos of baby Finley and the family together, I was so honored! I’m used to seeing Kristin all warm and smiley, but after having a baby… gah! she was glowing, inside and out and beyond giddy, loving this new little bundle of joy.

I got to share a moment with baby Finley – her umbilical cord fell off during our session. (Ew!) I swallowed and kept going! ha ha! 😉 Two things I know about this little thing – she loves eating + staying awake!! Oh well, we get to see those big beautiful eyes.

Laura + Mike | St. Louis Engagement Photography

I may or may not have started listening to Mariah Carey Christmas on Pandora this morning. (Good-bye Ellie Goulding, hello Christmas!) 25 days is just not enough! 😉 I’m on the road to getting festive – I just purchased tickets to see Elf at the Fox in December! Yay! I’m pretty excited for the holidays, but I’m also not the type to buy presents in July.

Laura + Mike are just cute as a button together. Their love story is pretty cute too. Mike actually went to high school with her brother, he also coached his hockey team. Then they found themselves sitting across from each other in a cubicle at new jobs! These two were meant to be. 🙂 They started dating and then on her birthday in mid-April he took Laura on a surprise trip to San Francisco (Francisco! That’s fun to say! Francisco… Frannncisco… Franciscooo…) + Napa! (Boy, do I know how to pick the wine-lovers!) He proposed in Napa in a castle-like vineyard … which brought us to Wash U campus for their engagement. Pretty darn close to looking like a real castle. 🙂

We finally get to head to Chaumette Winery with these two! Can’t wait for the wedding next year!

The hour session wiped me out. ha! ha! 😉 SOOOOOO worth it though getting to hang out with these kiddos! This is my third year with them – getting to see their little personalities blossom warms my heart so much.
