Clayton 4 months old | St. Louis Baby Photography

Hello handsome! Meet little Clayton, just 4 months old. This serious little guy is just the cutest thing! šŸ™‚

Wait until you see his room… Laaaoooove it. I’m thinking I might need a DIY tutorial from his Daddy. He bought the wood on Craig’s List, white-washed it and hung it up. It’s just darling, and was the perfect backdrop to our shoot. I remember as a kid having to go to my room fairly often!Ā (ā€œHeather Sue go to your room!ā€)Ā Well, if I had a room like this one, I don’t think I would mind. šŸ˜‰

Enjoy the photos!

Annie + Mary | St. Louis Newborn Photography

Meet my friend Susan and the newest additions to her sweet family. Your heart is just going to melt with these images today! Susan is a make-up artist and I’ve been so lucky to work with her! Watching and hearing about her journey to pregnancy has just touched me in so many ways. So let me introduce you to baby Annie + Mary! Two adorable baby girls with incredibly different personalities. šŸ™‚ And wow, did I have my work cut out with these two. When one sleeps the other is awake + when one cries the other is cooing away with content. <– That pretty much sums up the shoot. šŸ˜‰ Even though it was a lot of work, I enjoyed my time with these two little ones so much and especially loved watching the chemistry they had with Mom + Dad. He’s completely out-numbered, but what an amazing dad he already is. Congratulations to Susan + Jason!

Thank you toĀ The White RabbitĀ for the nest we used! If you haven’t been to their boutique, please go! They have so many neat things, new + old, and are definitely great items to use for photo shoots.

Enjoy the photos!

Torie and Ben | St. Louis Wedding Photography

Aaaand this day was like no other. Usually I’m obsessing about the weather (clearly I do, I mention it in every post!) but this June day only predicted a 10% chance of rain. I’m pretty optimistic, so that means a 90% chance… it’s not gonna rain! (!) During the ceremony held at Graham Chapel, we heard rumblings of thunder and I looked at Ryan, eyelids stretched, thinking noooo, it’s not supposed to rain! The Wash U Campus is just so pretty and what better place to be? So I was maybe just in a wee bit of a whirlwind to try and get all the portraits wrapped-up before it poured down on us. Which thank goodness we did! In the distance, dark grey, ominous clouds + lighting lingered. So we figured if we stayed put and knocked everything out around the church, we’d be good. Sure enough, this giddy pair worked their magical love in front of the camera and made it so easy. šŸ™‚

After we finished up on campus, we made our way downtown. That’s when we hit the deluge of rain. So we sat outside the Civil Courts Building, a special request from the lawyer-Groom, and took cover in the car until things died down a bit. We all agreed it might be a while, so we got out and captured a few anyway! I always love a lucky umbrella shot, and a couple willing to do anything on their wedding day. šŸ™‚

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Enjoy the photos!

Kelly + Jimmy | St. Louis Engagement Photography

Hola!

I think it’s really neat when my couples put a lot of thought into their engagement session – adding special hints of their culture and who they are. So when Kelly told me about all the Mexican-inspired fun she wanted to add, I was all in. Who says we have to be in California to do beach?! We’ve got one right here. ha ha! Well close enough. Kelly + Jimmy are really cute together – what a great guy for sporting a sombrero during their engagement session. šŸ˜‰

The evening of the shoot only called for a 10% chance of rain. So what’s it doing when we meet – pouring down rain! So, we had to huddle, cuddle and wait under this big tree to stay dry. Poor Kelly had her hair and make-up done so the show had to go on! It did finally clear up and we got the sunshine and beautiful light we’d hoped for.

Go sip on a margarita and enjoy the photos!

Meghan + Ande | St. Louis Wedding Photography

Meghan + Ande. Oh, where do I even begin with these two? TheirĀ engagement sessionĀ was an unforgettableĀ beeeeeautĀ that I thought couldn’t possibly be topped. But I was wrong. Add a sweet gal in a beautiful gown and a handsome Italian in a smart tux and it’s pure sweetness on their wedding day. With Meghan’s special ties to The Botanical Gardens we decided to do their first look + portraits there.

I have some pretty anxious wedding vendors waiting for this wedding! šŸ™‚ Never before seen at the Palladium St. Louis – drapery! For those of you who don’t know, the building is an old laundry facility converted to an event space –with a very spacious + contemporary feel. Usually during an event, over-sized panels that drop from the ceiling divide the room into sections. But for Meghan + Ande’s special day, the Aries Company worked their magic by hanging hundreds of yards of sheer fabric, along with over 70 lanterns + 650 Italian lights – it took them a full day to complete the installation. Guests were able to enjoy the twinkling lights and an Italian family style dinner – a first for the Palladium to host on this grand of a scale. It was amazing to photograph, and I think the guests were pretty much awe-inspired too.

Congratulations to Meghan + Ande!

Enjoy the photos!
