Style Me Pretty Feature | Victorian Botanical

Happy Friday everyone!

We are jumping-up-and-down over here, doing cart wheels, fist bumps and high fives! Our Victorian Botanical styled shoot has been featured on Style Me Pretty’s faaaabulous wedding blog this week! We are so humbled by this honor. I’m sure most of my readers are already in love with this amazing site, jam packed with all things lovely. It has definitely been a huge inspiration for me, and not just related to photography! 🙂

If you missed our shoot, you can read all about it and see the images here. 🙂

Thank you Style Me Pretty and thank you to all the hard-working friends who helped make it happen! We all hope we can inspire others too.

Jessica + Ryan | St. Louis Engagement Photography

Jessica was running a little late to our bridal meeting, so I had a chance to sit and chat with Ryan before she arrived. Of course I had to ask him what he loved the most about her. He sweetly answered, she’s so sweet, nice & genuine, giving, kind-hearted, beautiful AND we have a lot in common. Awww! What a keeper! 😉 Just as they were about to give up on the online dating scene – they found each other. Fate works in mysterious ways!

These two are planning their BIG day at Overlook Farms, June of 2013. Jessica mentioned ‘think Ralph Lauren’ when I asked about the style of their wedding day. Need she say more?! 😉 Perfect! Plus I’ve been dying to shoot out there – it’s so exciting!

Enjoy some of my favorites!

Fleur De Lis Bridal Boutique | Heather Roth Fine Art Photography

Hello there!

With so many talented people and pretty boutiques in this town, I thought why not feature the fab-o ones I get to work with on my blog! Couples are always asking me my favorite “vendors” from hair and make up to florists and DJs and videographers. I’m honored to share my list. I know I appreciate a great referral and I know just how far a BIG thank you goes. Through my latest styled shoot, Victorian Botanical, I had the opportunity to meet the gals over at Fleur De Lis Bridal in Clayton. They let us use an Elizabeth Fillmore gown and hair accessory. I was in love with them and their dresses the moment I stepped into their boutique. They seriously have the most unique and stunning dresses, and not to mention the boutique is absolutely darling. So one day I went over to hang with this sweet duo and took some photographs to show just how elegant and romantic their place is.

I thought you might like to get to know Connie and Kristin, so I brought out my inner journalist for a day by asking them a few questions. 🙂 See what they have to say below and I’m sure you will agree, it is truly extra special.

Tell me a little about yourselves. What made you open the bridal boutique? We absolutely fell in love with the bridal gowns when looking for Kristin’s gown five years ago. Our family has always been very involved in art so it was only fitting that we wanted to surround ourselves with these gorgeous works of art, far from what the corporate world could offer. During this time, we began dreaming of opening our own boutique, one that would be extra special. An intimate boutique that would provide a very memorable experience while offering exquisite bridal gowns and accessories. In 2010, we made the decision to follow our hearts and with the help of family & friends, we created Fleur De Lis Bridal Boutique.

I Love that you are a mother & daughter team. What’s it like working together? Haha we seem to get this question often! We have enjoyed every minute but that’s not to say we don’t have our mother/daughter “moments”! In all seriousness, we would not have done this with anyone else. We are a perfect team and every day we are reminded of how lucky we are to be living our dream together.

Favorite wedding designer and why? No favorites … we love them all for their uniqueness!

How would you describe your bride? Such a hard question! Classic & Romantic with a modern twist?!

When you go to market to shop for gowns for the boutique, what kinds of things are you looking for? Uniqueness and exquisite styles in which we think our brides will fall in love!

What trends are you seeing for 2013? Fabulous shoes and sparkle (belts & hair accessories) as well as stunning backs and subtle color.

Favorite lunch + coffee spot in Clayton? 🙂 Favorite coffee – hands down Kaldi’s. Favorite lunch – so many amazing places but for right now, Oceano!

Drop on by their boutique to say hello, and be sure to let them know you first saw their boutique on my blog! Can’t wait to share some more of my favorite wedding peeps here and there! Stay tuned…

P.S. The fresh flower bouquets were done by Bloomin’ Buckets! 🙂

Luke is Two! | St. Louis Children Photography

You’ve seen him before, and here he is again and he’s TWO! They grow up so fast and I’m the happy photographer who has gotten to spend so much time with him. We had some morning fun at the Missouri Transportation Museum! What a fun place to shoot.

Enjoy my favorites of this smiley guy. He is sure to make your heart melt!
