Hello!

Happy Monday! I’ve got a great post today – my sweet July couple! As most of you now, the weather is pretty darn hot in July in the Lou, but this didn’t stop my sweet couple, Jennifer + Chris, from having a great time with friends + family on their special day! Jennifer grew up in St. Louis, and she met her handsome Chris in her second year of college. When I asked her what she loved about Chris – she instantly said his smile. 🙂 Chris is originally from Germany, where most of his family traveled from to celebrate the wedding.

Months before the BIG day, Jennifer took a letterpress class and made it her special project to design + create their own wedding invitations. I loved that special touch – I guess because I made my own invitations too. Too bad I spelled “kindly” wrong (kindy) on mine. Ha. Who does that?!

The couple lives in the amazing city of San Francisco and planned their Botanical Garden Wedding from a far! The ceremony took place in the Lehmann Rose Gardens, and the reception was held in the Spink Pavillion. All while the Lantern Festival exhibition lit aglow that evening. If I had a $1 for every tissue I saw someone use during the ceremony! It really was the type of moment that gave me goosebumps… They each gave their own personal vows, holding each other tight, whispering in each other’s ears. Almost like they were telling each other a secret story. That moment gave all their guests an opportunity to take it all in and realize what this day really meant to them. Later that evening, Jennifer told me she spoke hers in German, and that’s why it took her so long. 🙂 Ahhh, my heart melts!
