I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this couple! Especially after receiving the bestest.sweetest.lovliest little thank you card in our mailbox! Kate + Grant used phrases like “graceful leadership paired with your incredible talent” + “we are your biggest fans!” Seriously, the note gave me goosebumps. All this time, I thought I was just bossy. Come to find out – I have a new phrase to use! 😉 To realize how thankful couples are for having us help them on their big day means so much to us. I’m getting teary eyed just saying it! WE are the ones that are so thankful and appreciative that our couples choose to work with us! Mwah!
We first met Kate + Grant at their engagement session. If you want to take a peek at their engagement photos, visit the old blog here. And of course we completely fell in love with Kate’s personality and Grant’s go-with-the-flow attitude. 🙂 So we were really excited for their big day and to work with their wedding planner, Kristin Ashley Events!
Okay on to the BIG day! Kate + Grant shared a “first look” at the new restaurant-bar on the rooftop of the Hilton – 360-STL. Look out Four Seasons, St. Louis has a new little venue to also enjoy the skyline + cocktails. We then made a trip to the Contemporary Art Museum + my favorite spot in Tower Grover Park to shoot some fun, beautiful portraits. Check out that bridal party – that’s a lot of great friends and a BIG group to get lookin’ good at the same time. 😉 The guys each wore different striped ties + a cotton boutonniere! So cool! (The boutonnieres inspired me to go out and buy a cotton wreath for our front door!) The gals had probably the most unique bouquets I’ve seen, wrapped with twig. Such the talent of Becky Huffman! It’s like J Crew meets a little Southern hospitality! Kate + Grant live in South Carolina, so adding little hints of the South into their wedding was a good call! Don’t you think?! The Messiah Lutheran Church was right across the street from Tower Grove Park, so it made it easy to take a bee-line straight over to prepare for the ceremony. Cocktails + dinner followed at the Lumen Private Event Space. Always a neat location – such a cool spacious room with an overlooking balcony + beautiful natural light. 🙂
Just wanted to share some of my favorites from the day. I always walk away with new faves and some that are a little different from the last. I’m also a little obsessed with ring shots right now! 😉 Love showing off the bling on the succulent.
Hope everyone enjoys looking at the images. A big Congrats and Best Wishes to the gorgeous couple!
