Lisa + Todd | St. Louis Wedding Photography

So the last wedding posting I mentioned that I wanted to be a red head. Now look who wants to be Italian? I do! I love one BIG happy family with a ton of traditions and a lot of Italian cookies! Needless to say, I was really excited for Lisa + Todd’s BIG Italian/LSU/Florida Gators day! Of course, I’m always obsessed with the weather and the timing of the sun setting for the day of a wedding. So when I checked the radar for the last and final time on Saturday morning, there was 0% chance of precipitation. Phew. Most likely what rain we were going to get was a possible shower after 7PM. Not the case! Right after the ceremony at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church on the Hill, we headed to our fun spot to take some pretty bride and groom portraits. In the car on the way over, BAM! poured down rain! The only park without something going on that weekend was Carondelet park. Along with 3 other wedding photographers hitting the same spot, we waited our turn for the cool little dock. 🙂 Meanwhile we took cover in the pavilion. Luckily, it was just a little summer shower and didn’t last long. We got some beautiful shots!

Lisa is my gorgeous Italian, and grew up on the Hill in St. Louis. (Love the fleur de lis touches!) Todd is from Louisiana. Now, as we all know I’m not really the sporty-type gal. (I always got picked last, and I really didn’t want to get picked anyway!) so I just rolled with all the subtle hints and talks about the sporty stuff. 😉 BTW – Todd’s toes were painted in alternating purple and yellow – ode to Louisiana State University. And he made several gator-esque poses with his pals in ode to the Florida Gators (where they both live now). 😉

The one thing that I love about Kemoll’s Top of the Met, where they had their reception, is the view. It takes a couple elevators to get all the way up, and it’s well worth the trip and ear pop. Beautiful view of the city! So, I had to include a photo. With the sun coming in, it makes for some really pretty detail shots.

Lisa + Todd, you both were so wonderful to work with! We are so grateful you choose us to be part of your special day. Congratulations and enjoy the photos!
