Newborn Pierce Jamison + A Bohemian Baby Shower

We all know how much I love to plan a party, right? Or maybe it’s just a matter of having an excuse to drink champagne. So with my BFF, Maria, we hosted an intimate Bohemian Woodland Chic Baby Shower for my dear friend Tara in Kansas City. We really wanted this shower to be a focus around Mama, with just a hint of baby, and include all the activities + things she loves – music, working out, eating clean, Shaklee (see her company here: Dear Tara) + Colorado.

The invitations were my favorite piece and really set the tone for the shower, a collaboration with a talented local designer, Livia Paul. We used one of my own photos with a turquoise filter and created large die-cut animal confetti to give party info like the RSVP + places she was registered. Also included was a song quote from our favorite duo, Sara Bareilles + Ingrid Michaelson. My voice a beacon in the night, my words will be your light, to carry you to me.

Everything on the brunch menu was clean eatin’ and gluten free! Including a stack of pumpkin pancakes garnished with blueberries, breakfast pizza + quiche cut into the perfect bite, home-made biscuits (I lie, the Andrea’s brand from the grocery store), muffins + acorn meringues. We also convinced my Mom to be our “Bearista” where she brewed up vanilla lattes. I wish I would have gotten a photo of her! (It’s hard to play hostess aaaaand be the photog.) Anyway, she was a great sport, and played the part well. 🙂 She also made the darling blue + white feather cookies. That was a Pinterest steal, but my Mom is a cookie artist and can pretty much create anything I show her! We offered these as a parting token for the guests. When feathers appear angels are near. 

Livia Paul continued our vision creating all the paper goods for the shower, and really, really made it superb! Dear Tara is having a baby was beyond perfect!

… and then Pierce was born! The fam traveled all the way to St. Louis so I could capture him when he was just 10 days old. #pierceourhearts
